Symphony in the Storm The rain beats down on the skylight like a frenetic drum circle all through the night. The storm sings its own sweet lullaby with every drop come down from on high. The fog horn plays along in jazzy low notes, saying hello to all passing boats. A train whistles above in harmony as it travels across this land so free.
This is a throwback poem from a previously published book. I’ll be posting throwbacks every Wednesday.
A poem based on all the sounds I could hear while trying to fall asleep one winter evening.
