The Ocean I’ve mourned the loss of so many futures left standing on the shores of the past. So many things I’d planned to do that were just not meant to last. Selves left unrealized are not failures, merely a redirection of a winding path. Having known this loss before, standing on this brand new shore, now somehow I just accept it that what is to be is not what was before. I do not know which way the ocean will carry us in the coming days. The waves, they rise and they crash, carrying us all forward and back. Sometimes we are fortunate to surf, having the strength to stay afloat. Other times we will get shipwrecked, the tide too strong for our little boat. No matter the strength of the tide there still exists an ocean of hope.
