Wake up, humanity!
Do not become dehumanized, desensitized,
blinded to the pain in your brother’s eyes.
Do not fall for the lies, the deception on the sly,
deaf to the sound of your sister’s cries.

Wake up, humanity!
Stop giving into the fear and paranoia manufactured
in abundance like it’s going out of style.
You must meet the rhetoric of division
and destruction with disbelief.

Wake up, humanity!
Stop chasing after the latest shiny disposable toy
and rediscover your inner joy.
We may come shaped in a billions of different molds,
but you must value each and every beautiful soul.

Wake up before the dream turns to nightmare.
Wake up and find your way back from apathetic stares.
Wake up before there is nothing else left to wake up for.
