We stood, united,

on the waterfront,

holding hands,

huddling and hugging,

hopeful and heartbroken,

praying for peace

to whomever

we believe is listening,

emanating love,

calling out messages of healing,

sending positive vibes,

honoring life,

amid a garden of names

taken too soon.

May the killing cease.

May we find peace.
